MONTREAL – Narcity Media Group (NMG) is thrilled to introduce the recipients of the first-ever CJF-Narcity News Creator Fellowship, offered in partnership with the Canadian Journalism Foundation.
This inaugural fellowship marks a significant milestone in NMG's journey to foster the next generation of video storytelling talent in Canada, aligning with the organization's mission to build a sustainable future for local media.

"I'm very pleased with the group of applicants we received for this inaugural fellowship,” says Jackie Vandinther, News Creator Fellowship Manager at Narcity Canada. “This diverse group of emerging journalists brings a depth of skill sets and life experience, which I think is vital to becoming a well-rounded journalist and content creator."
Supported by YouTube Canada and the Google News Initiative, this initiative provides not only a unique learning opportunity but also allows these emerging journalists to actively shape the future of video journalism in Canada.
The fellows will receive a stipend of $5,500 and will be recognized for their achievements at the CJF Awards ceremony on June 12 at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto.
As NMG celebrates these new voices in Canadian journalism, the organization proudly contributes to building the future of the Canadian Media industry through emerging talent.
